FA Level 1 Goalkeeping Award
The Level 1 goalkeeping award is a 3 day course aimed at coaches who wish to learn the basic "Technical" aspects of Goalkeeping. Practical topics include Specific Goalkeeping warm ups and cool downs, Footwork, The "Set" position, General handling techniques, Diving saves - catching / deflecting / parrying, Dealing with 1v1, and Dealing with crosses. Theory includes the "Key Technical Aspects of Goalkeeping" and Long term player development (LTPD). Child Protection and Emergency Aid modules also form part of the course
