Football Foundation Money Provides Yeovil with New State of the Art 3g Pitch
Matt Le Tissier opens Bucklers Mead Community School New Facility
On Tuesday 13th October, Bucklers Mead School, Yeovil were proud to open their brand new state of the art 3rd Generation All Weather Football Pitch. This fantastic football facility has been funded partly by the Football Foundation with the support of the School, The FA and County FA working together to make this fantastic project a reality. The facility will now serve the sporting activities at the school, as well as support football activities for local clubs, Yeovil Town FC and many Coaching Courses the County FA put on in Yeovil.
Newly appointed Football Development Officer, Sion Kitson, who will be attached to the new site said; ‘This facility is truly first class. The work the Foundation, Bucklers Mead School and the County FA have put into this project to ensure its completion is remarkable and the rewards are now even greater. This new pitch will serve the local community, local schools and clubs, and I believe it will help to raise the standard of football provision in the Yeovil area hugely.’
On hand to officially open the New Facility was former England and Southampton Football Star, Matt Le Tissier. Like Matt and all the other guests this facility brought a smile to everyone's faces.
