Somerset FA in conjunction with The FA Football Futures programme, SASP and Step Into Sport have co-ordinated a specific Leadership and Volunteering Programme for 14-19 year olds all over Somerset to provide opportunities for young people to 'get into football' and even pursue a career within football.
To register for this programme you need to contact Sion.Kitson@somersetfa.com and ask for a application form which will be emailed to you for you to complete. In registering to join the Somerset FA Young Leadership Programme candidates who are 16-19 are also expected to register on the generic Step Into Sport Programme. To register for this programme please contact your college FESCo who will be able to provide you with an application form (an application is also attached in the related documents). Within the Step Into Sport website you will be able to log all your hours of leading and volunteering which we also monitor.
This is as students complete more hours they will awarded by Somerset FA with various benefits at certain points, 10, 25, 50, 100 and 250 hours including coaching resources and kit, discounted prices on coaching courses, free football workshops, the possibility to join a local club or school as a coach, referee etc... as well as the option to purchase FA Events Tickets. In theory the more hours you do the more benefits and rewards you get!!!

- Mentoring Policy (Young Leader Mentors from Clubs need to sign this)
- Induction Event Letter (Information on Young Leaders Induction Event that they can register to attend)
