Football Coaching Vacancies with Somerset FA Ltd.
Somerset FA requires two Football Coaches
1 x Head coach for the Girl’s FA Centre of Excellence
(9-16 age groups).
1 x Assistant coach for the Girl’s FA Centre of Excellence
(9-16 age groups).
The Head Coach role will involve planning and delivering coaching sessions for an age group (to be decided) within the county FA Girls Centre of Excellence, in line with The FA’s player centred coaching philosophy. The Head Coach will be required to take the squad to all fixtures on Saturday mornings. Please see the attached job description for more information on how to apply.
The main role for the Assistant Coach will be to support the Head coach and the squad players at each training sessions only, amongst other responsibilities on training evenings. Please see the job description for more information on how to apply.
The successful candidates will be required to work two evenings per week in the season (Monday and Wednesday) to deliver a 90 minute session on each evening. Somerset FA will help finance further FA qualifications through its coach development and mentoring scheme, as well as providing the members of staff with access to National in-service training events for Licensed FA Girls Centre’s of Excellence programmes.
Somerset FA Girls Centre of Excellence is 1 of 52 centres throughout England that are an integral part of The Football Associations female player development pathway and is the pinnacle from which our youth international players are selected. Somerset FA Centre of Excellence operates squads at U10, U12, U14 and U16 age groups.
