2019 Disability England Talent Day

Somerset FA are delivering a fantastic opportunity for keen young football players who have a disability a chance to try out for the National Team!

The England Talent Day is the first step of the England Talent Pathway for players with a disability. It will allow coaching staff and an FA Talent Selection Officer to identify and signpost players to the appropriate football environment, as well as identifying players with the potential to progress in the England Talent Pathway.

The England Talent Day is open to male players with the following impairments:

  • Amputee (Male)
  • Blind (Male and Female)
  • Cerebral Palsy (Male)
  • Deaf (Male and Female)
  • Partially Sighted (Male)

Details of the England Talent Day:

  • Date:Saturday 29th June
  • Time: 10.00am – 2.00pm
  • Venue: Strode College Sports Centre, Street, BA16 0AB.
  • Cost: Free
  • Age Groups: 7 – 11 years old & 12-16 years old.

This is a fantastic opportunity for young players with a disability to receive support to find the appropriate grassroots environment and potentially access an elite programme of football. Previous players from Somerset FA disability talent programmes have gone on to represent England in impairment specific squads. The session will be led by Lee Ballard and Supported by England Disability Talent ID Lead Paul Campbell
