Somerset FA are sad to announce the death of Vince Davis, Vince served on the SFA Council for several years representing the Bath and District League.

Vince was a referee for many years and served as Referee Appointment Secretary of the Saturday divisions of the Bath & District league for 30 years; when the Saturday division folded he assumed a similar role for the Sunday competition.  Vince also served on the management committee of the league and on several SFA Committees, including the disciplinary committee.

He was an excellent servant of grass roots football, particularly to the Bath & District league and will be missed by his many friends in the game. His funeral is on 13th April, sadly due to current restrictions attendance is limited to family only. Assuming there is no change to COVID regulations, there will be an opportunity to gather in the garden of The Bell Pub in Broughton Gifford from 15:30 on April 13.
