Charter Standard Clubs

Recognition of Quality Charter Standard Clubs in Somerset

In order to become a Charter Standard Club your Club requires the following:

- A constitution
- Financial Management
- A Code of Conduct
- Insurance (Linked to Affiliation)
- An Equity Policy
- FA Child Protection Policy
- Designated person
- Personnel Disclosure Forms
- Attend FA Workshop
- Attend Soccer Parent
- Qualified Coaches (Level 1)

 

Once your a Charter Standard Club you can work to different levels of Charter Status - Adult to Development to COMMUNITY.

Community Club Requirements

- A minimum of 10 teams to include Mini-soccer, Youth and Adult Teams (must include 1 male and 1 female team)

- In addition to Club Welfare Officer the club must have an idenitified:

School Liaison Officer / Volunteer Co-ordinator / Soccer Parent (information found on roles found on Club Development CD ROM)

- At least one coach should have an FA Coaching Certificate or  a Level 2 certificate in Coaching Football.

- All coaches with adult teams should have an Emergency First Aid Certificate or equivalent.


- An FA Charter Standard Community Club should have a three to five year development plan that should include the
following areas:


• Club Vision
• Club Development Table
• Team Development
• Workforce Development (volunteers, coaches & referees)
• School-club Links
• Links with girls’/women’s football (or boys’/adult male football)
• Football for Disabled Players
• Communication & Marketing
