Local Player Selected for England Senior CP Squad

Lewis Tribe has been selected for the England Senior CP squad that will be traveling to Argentina this month for the World Championships.

Lewis, 17, lives in Salisbury and attends the Burgate School 6th Form.  He has been part of the South West Cerebral Palsy Regional Talent Centre for the past few seasons.

In 2015/16 he was recommended for the Emerging Talent Programme, but was unable to take his place up at that time due to surgery on both legs.

Lewis was again recommended for the Emerging Talent Programme. During the course of the season he was then invited to train with the England Development Squad and most recently with the Senior squad. 

As you can imagine, everyone at the centre which has now become a club in its own right, is over the moon for Lewis and this amazing opportunity and experience.

SWCP United resume training in September and welcome all players with Cerebral Palsy / Acquired Brain Injury. The team train in Bridgwater on Saturdays and play in both National and County Leagues, The club is made up from players all over the South West.
