There are so many ways for girls and women to join in, no matter what your age or ability level, whether you just want to have a kickabout with your mates or whether you want to be the next Steph Houghton.
Somerset FA supports a number of leagues and opportunities across the County for women & girls to play the beautiful game.
The Somerset Women’s County Football League, which is step 5 on the National Pyramid, has 2 Divisions. The first division is 11v11 and Division 2 is currently a 9v9 flexi format league. This has now been in place for a few seasons and helps to support new teams stepping into adult football and helps with number of players.

We also have clubs competing at the top end of the pyramid in the South West Football League, The FA Women’s Premier League and the FA Women’s Super League (Yeovil Town Ladies FC).
