Somerset U16s Win Their Inaugural Fixture
Paulton Rovers hosted a very enjoyable FA County U16's Youth match with Berks & Bucks the visitors to Somerset.
The visitors Abs Khan tested Bath-based Ben O'Hare in goal before Somerset went ahead at14 minutes as Rory Jones found Dev Halladey (EVOSoccer Bath / Bath Arsenal) who superbly lobbed the ball over B&B keeper Ben Parslow.
Somerset were on top with Halladey a constant threat; however, against the run of play at 40 minutes the visitors leveled following a corner on the right. A loose ball fell to Tobi Collins who made no mistake.
Jones was influential in midfield and set up a good chance for his centre forward Harry Purser (Cotford Saints) to run on and grab Somerset's second after 54 minutes.
O'Hare then pulled off two saves from Josh Adeyemi; the second an absolute blinder. In the final minute Somerset should have added to the tally as Connor Westerside saw his effort held by Parslow.
