With the new season now being only days away for many of you, you will doubtless be busy with numerous tasks, not least registering your players. This now takes place on line via the FA Whole Game System.
We are aware that some of you have encountered problems while doing this process, sorry for any inconvenience that you may have run into.
One of the most common issues that people encounter is when they try to register a player who may have more than one FAN record with the same email address; this means in the past the same player has been registered more than once. The system registers players with a unique email address, so if it discovers the same one on another FAN record it will stop the process. This can however be easily solved, all you need to do is let us know and we can merge the records, to do this you will need to supply us with the folowing information for that player;
• Name of the player (full name, NOT nicknames)
• FAN Record number
• Date of Birth
• Email Address
To help speed up the process we have created a google form where you can submit this information, please use the following link: https://forms.gle/Sjy9tU7ZJ6odTBkN6
Please be advise that it is Somerset FA staff who will see the information that you add here, it isn’t public facing; once we have completed the process and the duplicate records are merged we will delete the information from the form.
This process, which we call De-Duping, does take up to 48 hours to go through the system, so it is important that you do this AS SOON AS POSSIBLE, please don’t leave until the day before the season is due to kick off as it is possible the process will not be completed in time. Once we know the process is done, will we will contact you and let you know.
If you encounter any other problems with player registration, please let us know straight away with the details of the issue you have encountered.
If you have any questions please contact Somerset FA and we will be happy to help you.
