Somerset FA Rainbow Laces Campaign Season 23/24

Celebrating 10 years of Rainbow Laces!!

This year's campaign focus is 'Lace up to keep it up' and ongoing support to our LGBTQ+ communities.

Over the last ten years Stonewall and the campaign have come so far. Now, it’s time to Lace Up to Keep It Up.

Since Rainbow Laces kicked off in 2013, over a million people involved in football have laced up in support of LGBTQ+ inclusion in sport, fitness and physical activity. But this must-win game isn’t over yet.

Large parts of the LGBTQ+ community still can’t be their true selves whilst attending or participating in sporting events. And in 2023, that just blows our minds.

So while we should be proud of what’s been achieved so far, this is no time to take our eye off the ball. In our tenth year we have to do one important thing…

Keep It Up!

Are you interested in being a part of our Rainbow Laces Campaign for 2023? Tell us how you'd promote the campaign throughout November & December (Campaign runs 25th November – 10th December).

In the Rainbow Laces campaign’s 10th year, we want to celebrate clubs who go above and beyond to support the campaign, and clubs demonstrating proactive support and visibility for the campaign will be awarded the ‘Somerset FA Rainbow Laces Commendation Certificate’, to be presented to clubs and promoted throughout the County.

You can be part of Rainbow Laces Campaign 2023 and wear your laces with pride during the 2023 campaign.
